About the event

Maritza is the author of My Safe Circle Story / Mi Historia del Círculo Seguro, a warm, age-appropriate children's book for ages 3–10 that teaches body safety, personal boundaries, safe and unsafe touches, the power to say “no,” and the importance of trusted adults. Through the story of Mari and her little brother Ozzie, children learn that their bodies belong to them, unsafe secrets should never be kept, and they are never alone. At this special author reading, Maritza brings women and children together for an uplifting conversation about courage, safety, self-worth, and hope.
