This year we are hosting our first Heroes for Housing Bike Ride. This is a great opportunity and event with for everyone. The Ride will be held at the Forest Park in Triangle, VA. Everyone is invited. The goal of the ride is provide long term housing to women who are pregnant and homeless.

About the Event

We will host our first-ever Heroes for Housing Bike Ride to provide long-term housing to women and children at Carried To Full Term. The ride will take place on October 7th, 2023 @ 7am at Prince William Forest Park, 18170 Park Entrance Rd, Triangle, VA 22172.

The event is a one-day, 10-mile bike ride. Registration is currently open, sponsorships and volunteer opportunities are available.

When families have housing, they thrive. Join us at this event to give women and children safe and stable housing. Each of us has the power to provide positive change where there is a need. This is one of many opportunities to participate in being a hero to women and children in need.

Registration is open until October 6 at midnight.  In-person Registration is available on event day, October 7 beginning at 6:00am. Fee increases to $100.  Thank you for choosing to support our families and the Heroes for Housing Bike Ride.    Our top priority is the safety of all participants. We ask that you comply with events guidellines by staying on the path and enjoy a day of cycling with friends and the community. As you gear up to participate, although the ride is open to everyone, we ask that you take into consideration your riding experience.  This is an open course. A short part of the path is open to vehicular traffic. If you are not comfortable riding alongside cars and other cyclists, we suggest you visit our website to make a contribution and to sign up for our upcoming 2024 events at www.carriedtofullterm.org.

When can I register?

Registration is open. Registrations are accepted up to the day of the event. 

When does the race start and end? Is there any on-site registratioon day of the event? 

The Race starts at 7am.  There will be same-day registration but it will be $75 instead of $55.

Is there a cap on the number of people that can ride? 

There are no caps on the number of people who can ride. 

How long is the Heroes for Housing Bike Ride Fundraiser? 

The race is 10-miles long at the picturesque Prince William Forest Park in Triangle, Virginia.

Is there an age limit?

No! The Heroes for Housing Bike Ride Fundraiser is a family-friendly event complete with bounce houses! If younger kids will be participating, they will need to be accompanied by theirparents.

Is everyone starting at a certain time, or is it a rolling start?

The inital plan is to have everyone start at the same time. If we have a larger than expected turnout, we'll stagger the race.

Will pictures be taken and shared?

By purchasing a ticket, I hereby acknowledge that bicycle riding, bicycle racing and bicycling events

(“Bicycling”) are strenuous activities beyond the capability of some people, and may cause

minor, severe and/or permanent injuries or death to people who are not in sufficient physical

fitness, training and/or experience. I have made my own determination as to whether I am able

to safely participate in Bicycling.

I recognize that Carried To Full Term (“(CTFT)”) has not evaluated my ability to participate in

Bicycling. I also recognize that advice dispensed through (CTFT) may not be appropriate for

me, and it is my responsibility to make this determination. I acknowledge that some Bicycling is

a test of a person’s physical and mental limits and carries with it, regardless of physical fitness

or experience, the potential for death, serious injury and property loss. I assume the risks of

participating in Bicycling. I certify that my level of fitness is appropriate to participate in Bicycling

which I am voluntarily undertaking. I certify that I have sufficiently trained or prepared for the

Bicycling I am undertaking and I have not been advised against participation in such activity by

a health care professional.

I, for myself, my past, present and future agents, attorneys, representatives, predecessors,

successors, assigns, heirs and executors, do waive, release and discharge (CTFT), its past,

present and future officers, directors, agents, employees, volunteers (including any individual

giving a presentation, advice or information in conjunction with Bicycling), attorneys, any (CTFT)

members or event participants other than myself, parents, subsidiaries, predecessors,

successors, affiliates, assigns, sponsors, and representatives (the “(CTFT) Parties”) from any

and all manner of liability, claims for damages, causes of action, proceedings, compensation,

attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses of suits, claims and demands whatsoever, which may arise

in the future from my participation in Bicycling through or involving (CTFT), including, but not

limited to, any and all claims, losses or liabilities for death, injury, disability, property damage,

medical bills, theft or damage of any kind, including economic losses, which may in the future

arise out of or relate to my participation in or traveling to and from Bicycling through or involving

(CTFT). I acknowledge that there may be mode of transportation, persons, dangerous or

adverse road or path conditions, hazards, wildlife or hidden objects present during Bicycling

through or involving (CTFT), and assume the risk related thereto of participating in Bicycling

through or involving (CTFT). I assume all other risks associated with participating in Bicycling

through or involving (CTFT), including contact or effects of other participants and effects of

weather.

I AGREE NOT TO SUE any of the (CTFT) Parties for any and all claims made or liabilities

assessed against them as discharged herein.

I INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the (CTFT) Parties from any and all claims made or

liabilities assessed against them as a result of (i) my actions, inactions or negligence, (ii) the

actions, inactions or negligence of the (CTFT) Parties and others hereby indemnified, (iii) the

conditions of the facilities, equipment or areas where the Bicycling is being conducted and (iv)

any other harm, injury or damage caused by an occurrence related to or during Bicycling

through or involving (CTFT).

I GRANT PERMISSION for the use of my name and/or likeness relating to my participation in

Bicycling of the (CTFT) and I WAIVE all rights to any future compensation to which I may be

entitled as a result of the use of my name or likeness.

IF REGISTERING A MINOR, I represent that I am the custodial parent or legal guardian of the

minor. I consent to the terms of the foregoing application form, including the waiver and release

of claims, on his/her behalf. I affirm I have the authority to grant such consent.

I AFFIRM THAT I AM EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, I HAVE READ THIS

DOCUMENT AND UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS.
