No mother should have to worry whether or not she will be able to leave the hospital without her baby due to homelessness. No baby should enter the world without having a clean, safe, and nurturing environment to come home to from the hospital. We believe and we are working to ensure women seeking safety and support through our program have a safe home to bring their babies to from the hospital. Why? because we believe every baby deserves the safety and protection a home extends.
It is known that without adequate housing, families have trouble managing their daily lives. Families without income or enough money to cover vital needs, such as food, health, or utilities, are most at risk for a crisis. When housing needs are met, families can focus more on caring for each other.
