Periodically, mothers will write letters and statements of appreciation that almost always leave all parties involved in tears. Below are some statements from moms in their own words.
Our moms come to our home from various circumstances, experiences and situations. Some were abandoned as a result of the pregnancy, others were abandoned by the father of the child and some have arrived at homelessness as a result of a learned pattern. Hear their story in their own words.
“I was 6 months pregnant and sleeping in a broken down car in the winter. I found out about Carried To Full Term and they took me in. I’ve done more in my life in the short four months that I’ve lived here. I feel so accomplished.”
“I am so grateful to have a safe place to bring my daughter home to, from the hospital.”
“I’ve never lived on my own before. I am nineteen years old. I was raped by a family member. Since I’ve left home, I’ve lived with friends, sleeping on their couches. I am so happy to have my own room and my own bed.”
