Welcoming Nayda: One Moms Journey to Carried To Full Term
Updated: Sep 14
Meet Nadya, a resilient mother that endured a challenging journey and took her first steps into our Carried To Full Term family this week.
A few months ago, Nadya found herself in a situation that no one should ever have to endure. Struggling in a heartbreaking and abusive situation involving multiple family members, she didn't know what to do, but she knew in her heart that she had to make a decision to leave."I felt like I was in a daze", she stated, a common symptom of those experiencing abuse or neglect. Yet, within the depths of despair, Nadya summoned the strength to make a life-altering decision – to leave it all behind and seek a life free from fear and suffering.
With nothing but a couple of items and determination, Nadya embarked on a journey that would lead her far away from the city that had once been her home. She headed to Virginia to work as a live-in home health aide. This job promised her a place to stay, but when she arrived, they told her that she could only sleep on the floor for a week. Struggling with a lack of resources, Nadya soon found herself living out of her car. While everything seemed to be falling through, she clung to a glimmer of hope, moving her forward.
Nadya discovered that she was expecting a child – a beautiful new life to cherish and nurture. But as any expectant mother knows, the path of pregnancy is filled with its own unique challenges. The usual struggles of the first trimester, like nausea, has made even more difficult for Nadya on top of a painful hernia that has limited her mobility.
Despite these trials, Nadya's persistent spirit remained. She had come so far, endured so much, and now, she is carrying the precious gift of life within her. Her story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, a testament to the strength that lies within each one of us.
Today, we stand beside Nadya as she begins this new and beautiful journey of motherhood. But we also recognize the immediate needs that she faces.
We believe in the incredible power of community – passionate people coming together to make a real, tangible impact on the lives of those in need. That's where you come in. If you can, we we would appreciate your support, extending a helping hand to a courageous woman in her time of need.
Your contribution, whether in the form of groceries, meal deliveries, grocery gift cards, or becoming a Cycle Breaker is a lifeline for Nadya. It's a message of hope, a reminder that she is not alone on this journey.
