Research shows that nearly 44 percent of young women ages 18-25 who face homelessness report being a parent or pregnant. Each year, approximately 2.4 million children live with a young mother who is homeless.
Young women facing homelessness are at higher risk of pregnancy. Knowing they have no safe, stable place to raise their children multiplies their test of daily survival. Many young women experiencing homelessness find there are few options for safe shelter and services for them.
When housing needs are met, families can focus more on caring for each other. Carried To Full Term is a place of hope for women who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy situation. Our home provides housing, counseling, social service contacts, and postpartum support in an independent living environment.
